A Visit From Some Japanese Friends

Mary B. Neal Elementary was very lucky to meet some special guests from Japan! A few students from Japan who are studying to be teachers visited our school and taught a few lessons in some of the classes. Our class was lucky enough to get to meet them and learn from them. Check out the awesome things they did with us!

These students are making origami warrior hats.

This student made a pin-wheel out of origami paper.
This Japanese teacher is showing the student how to design her pinwheel.

This teacher read us a story called "Peach Boy." The illustrations were authentic anime drawings. The story was about a boy who was born from a peach and became a Japanese hero. We enjoyed rooting for Peach Boy!
